The value of the soul

Priest Savatie Baștovoi

A glass of water can be drunk but the same water of it is spilled down on the ground it is considered wasted, as if it ceased to exist, although theoretically it is the same amount of water. In the same way the soul if it is kept inside us as a nice vessel can be useful for those around it, as a water they can drink, but if it is poured through the world, absorbed by vain worries and expectations, it is like the water spilled down on the ground which nobody takes up.

Gather the thoughts scattered through the world to return them into the heart so that the soul may turn again into a full and sensitive vessel and its untroubled face let it be a right guide to measure things, as the constructors use water to build straightly.

All the bustle of the world is the consequence of some empty souls and troubled minds, which began to lead peoples: ` If the blind lead the blind, both will fall into a pit.`

Everything the world does, everything it proposes to us aims to catch our attention and with the attention, our soul.

If we can understand this, it means there is still some Holy Spirit from the Saint Baptism in us. If not, then we turn into fighters against God, without even understanding what we do, being convinced that we bring a good thing to mankind.

You see how the goats are separated from the sheep before the coming of the Day of Judgment.
