Many times the peasants from a certain village, instead of going on the right way, go either by foot or by cart through the field, crossing crops and boundaries.
It is a rude act, you`d say, an uncivilized gesture. Maybe even we did this.
Seeing this, the owners of the crossed land make a ditch, but people cross the land even if it is so.
If they didn`t succeed in this way to make the people go on the right path, the owners of the place plant thorns and thistles and nobody crosses that land anymore. They all go on the right path.
With the human suffering it is the same. God wants us to go on His path, the right one, but we prefer to cross the field, the plowed land, meaning to commit wrongdoings. Then He digs in our way a ditch of pain which we easily cross.
He digs a bigger one but we cross that one too. Then He throws the thorns and thistles of pain and only then we see the right path and return to it.
And if we don`t return to the path of God not even then…
