Do not despair when you reach the bottom of the abyss and don not get dizzy when you reach the top of the mountain. Know that this second danger is greater than the first one. When you are on the bottom of the abyss you run to prayer as to a spring of strength but when you reach the top of the mountain you forget about it.
This doesn`t mean that we have to ask for the bottom of the abyss permanently from God but fatally we all fall into a deeper or less deep pit once or twice during a lifetime. It is important to have this weapon which is the unsophisticated prayer, without any pretences and holiness but which sanctifies you by its holiness and through which you feel you are not alone through which you feel you have a companion in sickness which gives you its hand. It is enough if you are receptive.
