The devil appeared to a monk one night looking like an angel of light and told him:
`I am Gabriel and I was sent to you to bring you a good news.`
And the monk answered:
`I think you must have been sent to some others, since I am sinful and not worthy to see any angels.`
And brother answered:
When saying that, the cunning one vanished from him.
