Once an emperor told to a Christian:
`Your God is a thief: he put Adam to sleep and stole him a rib.
The Christian got puzzled: how to answer to the emperor so that he would not lose his head.
But his daughter intervened:
`Father let me answer in your place.`
And turning to the emperor she said:
`Your highness, I ask for justice: last night the thieves entered our house and stole us a silver cup and left instead a golden one.`
The emperor started to laugh:
`How good it would be if gods sent us such thieves every day!`
The girl then said:
`Then was it bad for Adam that instead of his rib he got Eve?`
