One year there was a severe drought and all the wells from the monastery turned dry even the tarns got dry as it was a great lack of water . Then the abbot said to some brothers:
`No one else will make God give us water except for abba Theodor as he is full of a great divine grace.`
And calling the blessed one, the abbot told her:
`Father Theodor, take the vessel and bring us water from the well!`
The well was dried having no water at all. And she said:
`Bless, father`
And she went to the well where she sank the vessel and lifted it up full with pure fresh water and took it to the abbot who was sitting with the brothers.
All of them marveled seeing this. Then they went to the well that had become dry and looking at it they saw it was full of water and they glorified God. And that water was enough for all the needs of the monastery until the rain started and filled all the empty water tanks.
And the blessed one having a humble spirit said to then brothers:
`Not for my sake it was done this but for our father the abbot who with the faith he has in God sent me without any doubt. And I did my job and put my hopes in his prayers.`
