The distance between enemies increases the hate between them.
The distance between friends increases the sympathy between them.
The distance of the mother from her child increases her love and her child`s love as well.
Our distance from God increases God`s love towards us. When we feel this thing shame burns us like hot iron and we return to God with faster steps than those we had when we ran away of Him. We return with a strengthened love.
The story of the souls of the most people is not a never ending closeness to God, neither a never ending distance from God, it is sometimes distance from God and other times return to God.
Oh, at least our last days on earth let them be in a true closeness to God, not at distance from God!
