Appeal for assistance in the construction of the Monastery of Saint Neagoe-Vodă Basarab in Vlădești, Argeş County

With the help of God and Saint Neagoe-Vodă Basarab, and with the goodwill of His Eminence CALINIC, Archbishop of Argeș and Muscel, the construction of the Monastery of Saint Neagoe-Vodă Basarab (initially the Skete of Saint Neagoe-Vodă Basarab, directly dependent on the Archdiocese, until it is raised to the rank of a monastery) in Vlădești village, Argeș County, has been blessed.

Saint Voivode Neagoe Basarab was the ruler of Wallachia between 1512 and 1521. During his reign, the Orthodox spiritual and religious life experienced a period of brilliant flourishing. As a founder, among other things, of the holy Curtea de Argeș Monastery, he is remembered in history as the “Ruler of Culture, Spirituality, and Prince of Peace.” You can read more about the life of Saint Voivode here.

The monastery will be built in the Brancovan style combined with the Athonite style. In this regard, we warmly appeal to the faith and kindness of our fellow Christians to support the construction of the monastery with their contributions.

Donations can be made to the accounts of the Skete opened at Banca Comercială Română.

Clarification!

To avoid any unpleasant situations, as there are individuals collecting money on behalf of monasteries without being authorized to do so, we recommend donors to send their donation directly to the skete’s account, in euros or Romanian lei. This way, donors can be sure that their offering will reach the intended destination.
