One day, two nuns, Nana and Manana, encountered Father Gabriel (the Georgian) in the town and eagerly sought his blessing with joy. However, the ground was muddy from the rain, so instead of kneeling as they usually would, they performed a small bow.
To their surprise, Father Gabriel knelt down in that muddy spot, compelling them to do the same. Thus, on their knees, he bestowed his blessing upon them. Then, with a wink, he conveyed, “1 to 0!”
The Father’s action was not childish or mischievous; rather, it was filled with wisdom. By humbling himself before them and honoring their presence, he illustrated that when you genuinely respect someone and intend to demonstrate it, no obstacle should hinder you from doing so.
